The realm of sun and sand. This land is home to two equally dominant races, halflings and gnomes. The two races of the area have a common belief, they share the same patron deity. But as sibling relationships evolved , rivalries developed as well. Each race believes that they are the favored creation of their patron deity. This rivalry began with petty pranks in earliest days, eventually escalating to total war. It was not until a lizardmen empire invaded that the two races banded together to fight a common threat. Riding terrible beasts of war, the lizardmen were a formidable foe, but the combined strength of the two races halted their advance at great cost. The conflict is now at a heated stalemate. The city of Sun is a place of culture and technology. Gnomish engineers work day and night to create machines of leisure, utility and war. It is from here that the widely used zeppelins originated. Although the gnomes embrace technology, it does not mean the halflings shun it. The halflings of the region are very religious and have a strong sense of tradition. They are skilled in many things the gnomes do not care for such as politics, economic issues, art, music and a variety of other things. Although it is not often seen, gnomes and halflings do intermingle and the result is usually quite unique. The city itself is built in and around a large oasis. In the center of the city there exists a large lake that is riddled with luxury steamboats. Other than a few unique features, the city is built in a typical fashion with varying districts that serve different purposes. The surrounding landscape is barren sand and blistering heat, occasionally interrupted by an oases of differing size. However, a large jungle breaks the monotony of the desert. It is here that the lizardmen have erected an empire built around ritual sacrifice to their malevolent gods. Not much is known about them, but their prowess in battle is one to be reckoned with. They ride to battle on the backs of dinosaurs and elephants crushing all that stand before them.
