Upon the Shoulders of a Titan
The people of this area vary greatly as no race holds majority. The terrain of this area consists of numerous islands, varying in size. These islands float in air, held aloft by some unknown magic. The majority of the islands consist of a large hill or mountain in the center that is covered from base to peak in wild, untame jungles. Even though the wilds are very dangerous, the state of Paradice consistently exploits the numerous resources within. The city of Paradice is located entirely on a single island, making expansion impossible. The city is stands out on its lonely island due to the fact that nearly all the buildings are constructed from the same pearly white stone aptly named perlamite. The stone is mined straight out of the side of the mountain the resides next to the city. Paradice is quite a wealthy entity, the islands provide many useful metals, reagents, herbs, and general resources that the state harvests and markets and due to the virtually limitless amount of islands, there are no regulations on exploitation, as a result, the islands are full of business endeavors of all sorts and sizes. Not all of them survive to see profit however, the jungles are treacherous and many an expedition have gone missing, victims of the harsh wilds. The city is quite the opposite, it is a bastion of safety with its thousands of armed guards. No slums exist within the city d crime is minimal. A fortress on its own, the city could holdout against(and some would even claim repel) multiple armies. A perlamite bridge connects the city to the nearest island. Where the bridge ends, the main road begins. The Main as its called, is a wide, straight road that connects the bridge at one end of the city to the castle at the other end. Just like any major city, The Main is the lifeblood of the city. It is there that merchants gather to negotiate business deals, nobles meet and mingle, and commoners visit the markets to shop for all kinds of goods. The entire city is decorated in highlights of the ruling family’s chosen shade of violet, the castle especially so. The Aequis of Paradice is known to be a kind and benevolent man, a trait that passed down to his heir. Both are adored by the people of Paradice.
